Mahogany SilverRain, also known by her nickname Miko, is a versatile storyteller who has been crafting vibrant tales and poetry since childhood. Raised in New Orleans, Louisiana, she grew up to embody the strength of her heritage. In 2007, under the pen name K.R. Vance, she published her first children's book, MY RAINBOW FAMILY. A year later, she ventured into the romance genre, drawing inspiration from her own interracial marriage and relationships, leading to stories rich with multicultural characters.

Mahogany is passionate about blending imagination with real-world complexities, skillfully weaving diverse narratives that captivate readers. An avid reader herself, she draws influence from acclaimed authors such as D. Renee Bagby, L. Loren, Sonja B., Laurell K. Hamilton, Rae Lori, Anne Rice, Siren Allen, Siera London, and Charlaine Harris.

Living in Atlanta, Georgia, Mahogany has traveled extensively across the U.S. and the Caribbean, yet always finds her heart grounded in family. A mother of six and grandmother to four, she enjoys hobbies like reading comics (both Marvel and DC), watching movies and anime, practicing theraputic yoga, Tai Chi, and immersing herself in the world of the supernatural.

Mahogany believes in the power of growth and transformation, constantly evolving to bring fresh perspectives to her stories and her life.
